Living Wall Planter Workshop

8:00 AM, Cost $45

Each participant will be creating their own 22" x 22" living wall planter from a mini pallet. Pallets, soil mix, plants and fabric are included. Participants should bring gloves, a hammer and a heavy duty stapler. With the experience acquired from this workshop you will be able to create living walls at home with larger pallets. Plants used for this project can be herbs, annuals or succulents.

Class size is limited to 12, pre registration is required.

Shutter Planter

Succulent Shutter Workshop

10:30 AM, Cost $20

In this workshop you will plant a wooded shutter, approximately 9 1/2" wide by 27" long, with sempervivums (hens & chicks) and sedums. You can place your planted shutter in your garden, hang it on a wall, or display it on an easel. The possibilities are up to you, as long as it gets at least 5 to 6 hours of sun daily. All materials will be included: shutter, hardware cloth, angel moss and plants.

Hypertufa Pagoda Light Workshop

Make a useful garden decoration, a pagoda light. We will use a light cement mixture (hypertufa) that will dry white, no need to paint.
Supplies needed by attendees: 1 child's sand pail about 10" to 15" tall or something similar with a conical shape. 2 small sturdy square boxes about 10"x10" or 12"x12" square. 1 bag of play sand. 2 plastic garbage bags.

Miniature Garden Workshop

Design and plant a beautiful miniature garden complete with furniture and accessories. The fee includes container, potting soil, living plants and accessories. Additional items will be available for purchase.

Pounded Flower Cards Workshop
(if only nature had a hammer!)

Note cards created from arranging flowers and weeds on card stock, layering materials, and then transferring the color to the card by pounding with a hammer. Flower material is then brushed away, leaving only it's varying degrees of pigment color on the card forming unique and interesting floral designs. Finishing details added with black defining marker.

Glass Creations

Are you looking for a one of a kind piece of jewelry?
Learn the process of glass fusing using a glass kiln to create a one of a kind glass piece, such as a necklace pendant! You will also have the option of incorporating natural elements like stone or shells into your piece.
Costs include all supplies needed for attendees to create 3-4 unique finished pieces of jewelry. More pieces if time allows. ATTENDEES WILL NEED TO BRING SAFETY GLASSES.
